GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – NC State’s Julia Brown has been tabbed as the ACC Volleyball Player of the Week, and Kaity Smith of Virginia Tech has been selected as the ACC Volleyball Freshman of the Week.
 
Brown shined in NC State’s wins over Clemson and Georgia Tech. The senior outside hitter from Davidson, North Carolina, tallied 30 total kills on a .296 hitting percentage, and added 15 digs and four total blocks.
 
Smith had a strong performance when Virginia Tech took on Louisville. The rookie outside hitter from Florence, Kentucky, racked up 17 kills while hitting at a .324 clip, to go along with nine digs and three total blocks. Smith recorded 25 total kills and 20 total digs on the weekend.

ACC Volleyball returns to action on Wednesday when Clemson visits Georgia Tech for a 7 p.m. match.
