GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - The Atlantic Coast Conference ranks second nationally with 14 players on the Associated Press All-America teams, which were announced Monday.
Clemson led the nation with a school-record six AP All-Americans. The list includes three of Clemson’s four defensive linemen and four defenders overall. The previous best for AP All-Americans in a season by the Clemson program is five by the 2016 National Championship team. It marks the first time Clemson has had three defensive linemen named All-American in the same season.
Bronko Nagurski winner Bradley Chubb of NC State earned first-team honors and was joined on the first team by Clemson defensive end Clelin Ferrell. Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson, Clemson offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt, Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins, Clemson linebacker Dorian O'Daniel and Florida State safety Derwin James were named to the second team.
ACC players on the third team include offensive guard Tyrone Crowder of Clemson, tight end Jaylen Samuels of NC State, wide receiver Steve Ishmael of Syracuse, defensive end Austin Bryant of Clemson, linebacker Micah Kiser of Virginia, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds of Virginia Tech and safety Quin Blanding of Virginia.
