GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Virginia’s Anna Redding has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Golfer of the Month for September.
 
Redding helped Virginia to the team championship at Michigan State’s Mary Fossum Invitational in the Cavaliers’ season opener. The Concord, North Carolina, senior tied for first place with Michigan State’s Allyson Geer-Park with a 9-under par 207.
 
The title was the first of Redding’s career, and her 54-hole total matched her best tournament score as a Cavalier. After opening with rounds of 69 and 68 on the first day of competition, Redding shot 2-under 70 during the final round, including three birdies over her final six holes.
