(theACC.com) – Boston College junior forward Jenna Bike and Clemson sophomore forward Mariana Speckmaier have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Co-Offensive Players of the Week, while Boston College graduate senior goalkeeper Alexis Bryant is this week’s ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
Bike proved to play a pivotal role in the Eagles’ 2-1 win over No. 7 Florida State on Sunday as she scored the game winner in the 74
th minute. Bike also had a hand in the Eagles’ first goal as she was pulled down in the box and received a penalty on which teammate Gaby Carreiro converted. The Trumbull, Connecticut, native totaled seven shots in BC’s two wins as the Eagles moved to 10-0-0 on the season.
Speckmaier scored the golden goal for Clemson in its 1-0 double overtime upset over No.4 Virginia on Thursday. Her goal in the 105th minute was just the fourth the Cavaliers allowed this season.
