GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Virginia’s Carl Söderlund has been named the ACC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week, and NC State’s Alexis Galarneau and Michael Ogden have been tabbed as the Doubles Team of the Week.
 
Söderlund was key in Virginia’s wins over No. 9 Texas A&M (4-3) and California, helping the Cavaliers advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The junior from Stockholm, Sweden, took down the 89th-ranked Juan Carlos Aguilar from Texas A&M, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3, from his No. 2 singles spot, and added a win over Cal’s Jacob Brumm, 6-3, 6-1.
 
Galarneau, a junior from Laval, Canada, and Ogden, a senior from Salisbury, North Carolina, had a strong performance in NC State’s 4-3 win over No. 12 Georgia. The pair took down the 51st-ranked doubles team of Robert Loeb and Jan Zielinski, 6-2.
