GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Pitt’s Rachel Brown has been named ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week, and NC State’s Medline Kline has been selected as the Diver of the Week. On the men’s side, Pitt’s Blaise Vera has been named ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week, and NC State’s Holt Gray has been tabbed as the Diver of the Week.

Brown led a strong performance for the Panthers in a win over rival West Virginia. The senior from High Point, North Carolina, won all three events she swam in during the Backyard Brawl. Brown took first in the 50 free, 100 free and 200 free.

Kline had a sterling performance at the Georgia Diving Invitational for NC State. The junior from Damascus, Maryland, won the platform competition with a score of 255.70, and placed fifth on the 1-meter with a score of 281.65.

Vera posted two wins for Pitt in a win over West Virginia. The sophomore from Clinton, Mississippi, won the 50 free and 100 free. Vera’s 50 free time of 19.71 was an NCAA provisional time.

Gray posted two top-10 finishes at the Georgia Diving Invitational. The sophomore from Raleigh, North Carolina, placed fifth on the 3-meter and seventh on the 1-meter.
