GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Florida State senior forward Kiah Gillespie and Miami senior forward Beatrice Mompremier have been named Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week. Florida State’s River Baldwin is the ACC Freshman of the Week.
ACC women’s basketball weekly awards are voted on by the league’s Blue Ribbon Panel.
Gillespie helped lead the Seminoles to a pair of wins last week, including a 79-69 victory against No. 24 Michigan. She recorded a triple-double in the win against the Wolverines with 14 points, 13 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists to become just the third player in Florida State history to notch a triple-double.
In a return to her home state, the Meriden, Connecticut, native logged the first triple-double by an ACC player this season and is one of just 10 players among NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball this year with the accomplishment. Gillespie had 13 points and eight rebounds in the Seminoles first game of the week against North Florida.
Behind Gillespie’s strong play, Florida State is one of the nation’s nine remaining unbeaten teams with a perfect 12-0 record.

Her 19 rebounds are tied for the most by an ACC player in a single game this season. The Miami native averaged 16.7 points and 15.7 rebounds per game for the week and connected on 52 percent of her shots.
Baldwin led the Seminoles in scoring last week, averaging 15.5 points to go along with 5.0 rebounds per game. She tallied a career-high 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting in FSU’s win against North Florida on Tuesday, becoming the first non-senior to lead the ‘Noles in scoring in a game.
