GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - Syracuse senior attacker Nate Solomon has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, and Duke goaltender Turner Uppgren has captured the league's Defensive Player of the Week award.
Solomon led the Orange to a pair of wins over ranked teams this week. He led the team in points in a crucial ACC win over No. 18 North Carolina on Saturday, four days after he scored a pair of goals in the team's victory over No. 10 Cornell.
Duke's Uppgren made 12 saves to help lead the Blue Devils to a key 12-7 ACC win over No. 4 Virginia. Uppgren kept Duke within reach in the first half with nine saves and stopped three more in the second half as Duke held the Cavaliers to just two second-half goals. He also had a caused turnover and four ground balls.
