CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. (theACC.com) – Due to inclement weather in the Boston area, the second semifinal game of the 2019 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship between second-seeded North Carolina and sixth-seeded Duke has been rescheduled for noon Saturday at Alumni Stadium.
Saturday’s winner will face top-seeded Boston College in Sunday’s 1 p.m. title game. The Eagles edged fourth-seeded Syracuse 14-13 in Friday’s first contest, but a lightning strike in the area just as that game ended forced a delay in the start of game two. The game was subsequently postponed as heavy rain continued and the forecast called for storms to continue throughout the evening.
Saturday’s game will not be televised by the ACC’s Regional Sports Networks (RSN) as originally planned, but will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra. RSN will still carry Sunday’s championship game.
