GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – For the 13th consecutive year, the Atlantic Coast Conference leads the way among Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) conferences in the “Best Colleges” rankings released by
U.S. News & World Report.
Notables from this year’s rankings:
- The average rank of ACC schools is 54.7, tops among all FBS conferences.
- The ACC has led the FBS conferences in best average rank in each of the last 13 years.
- The ACC has had a school finish in the top 10 every year since 2006 (one of only two FBS conferences that can make that claim).
- The ACC's six schools ranked in the top 30 are also the most among FBS conferences.
- The ACC is the only FBS conference with seven member institutions among the top 40 – three more than any peer league.
- The ACC’s 11 member schools among the top 60 also leads all FBS conferences.
- The ACC has more teams in the top 100 than any other FBS conference.
