GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – North Carolina sophomore Austin O’Connor has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week after his quick pin at 149 pounds keyed the No. 17 Tar Heels’ team win over visiting No. 12 Princeton.
 
The second-ranked O’Connor took down the Tigers’ No. 9 Mike D’Angelo in 1:14, and the Tar Heels went on to defeat the Tigers by a 25-11 score in Friday night’s action.
 
O’Connor now stands 15-1 on the season, including a 5-0 mark in duals. Eleven of the Lockport, Illinois, native’s wins this season have been bonus-point victories. Last Friday night’s win pushed his career mark at UNC to 49-7.
