GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) -
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its 2020-21 women’s basketball composite schedule on Tuesday, inclusive of the television broadcast designations.

All 150 ACC regular-season conference games will be available through the ESPN family of networks and ACC Network, as well as the Regional Sports Networks (RSN).

Sixty-two regular-season games, including 48 conference games, are set to be televised exclusively by ACC Network and an additional 12 games will air on other ESPN networks.

Headlined by six Sunday doubleheaders and one Thursday doubleheader, 25 league games will be broadcast on the ACC’s Regional Sports Networks (RSN) for the second consecutive year. FOX Sports South, FOX Sports Florida, FOX Sports Sun, FOX Sports Midwest and FOX Sports Indiana are the regional television partners for this season.

The 2020-21 season tips off on Wednesday, Nov. 25, with 10 of the league’s teams in action. Duke hosts Longwood at noon in the first women’s basketball game on ACC Network this season. NC State welcomes North Florida for a 2 p.m. matchup that will also air on ACC Network.

As was previously announced, ACC women’s basketball will play a 20-game conference schedule in 2020-21, a two-game increase from last year due to the pandemic.

The conference is divided into three regional divisions, with home and away games played against divisional opponents, five home games against non-divisional opponents, and five away games against non-divisional opponents.

The two additional non-divisional games were scheduled by the conference office, with most teams being assigned one home and one away game, with a few exceptions.

The games were added to the schedule from Dec. 9 to Dec. 17, which along with games on Dec. 20 and Dec. 31, allow schools to play four ACC games by the end of the calendar year. Boston College and Georgia Tech will open the conference slate Dec. 9 in Atlanta followed by Louisville and Duke later that evening at 7 p.m. in Durham.

Per NCAA rules, teams can schedule 23 regular-season games and participate in one multiple-team event that includes up to four games, or schedule 25 regular-season games if a team does not compete in a multiple-team event.

The 2021 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be held March 3-7 at the Greensboro Coliseum for the 21st time in the last 22 years.

The full composite schedule, television broadcast slate and tip times for all games this season can be found HERE.

The ACC announced recently the updated protocols for winter sports within the league’s Medical Advisory Report. The report specifically addresses enhanced safety standards and testing measures in basketball, wrestling and low transmission risk sports.

Four ACC teams are listed among the Associated Press Preseason Top 25 Poll, headlined by ACC preseason favorite Louisville at No. 5, No. 8 NC State, No. 22 Notre Dame and No. 23 Syracuse. Florida State, North Carolina, Boston College and Duke are receiving votes.

The ACC has placed at least one Final Four team in five of the past six NCAA Tournaments, and a conference team has advanced to the title game each time.

ACC member institutions have won three NCAA Championships and made 24 trips to the Final Four. Seven different institutions have represented the ACC in the Women’s Final Four.
