CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Outdoor Track & Field season commences on Friday, March 21 with eight teams in action. ACC newcomers California, Stanford and SMU will each make their ACC Outdoor Track & Field debuts over the weekend as the Golden Bears and Cardinal are set to compete in the Hornet Invitational in Sacramento, California. The Mustangs will compete in the TCU Alumni Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas.
Miami will host the Hurricane Invitational with Virginia Tech also making the trip to Coral Gables, Florida. The two-day event will begin on Friday and will conclude on Saturday, March 22. Virginia Tech will also travel to High Point, North Carolina, where they will be joined by Wake Forest for the Bob Davidson Team Challenge, hosted by High Point University.
Georgia Tech and Virginia will also host meets throughout the weekend. The Yellow Jacket Invitational will be a two-day meet that kicks off in Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday, while the Virginia Opener will be a Saturday-only meet in Charlottesville, Virginia.
NC State will compete in a pair of meets throughout the weekend including the 49er Classic in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the UCF Black & Gold Challenge in Orlando, Florida, where they will compete alongside Clemson. Three other ACC programs – Louisville, Pitt and Syracuse – will also head south to the Sunshine State as the trio will take part in the USF Alumni Invitational in Tampa, Florida.
Notre Dame will stay in its home state of Indiana for the Indiana Wesleyan University Polar Bear Plunge on Saturday.
