CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (theACC.com) - No. 5 Louisville walked it off against No. 12 NC State, 6-5, in the bottom of the seventh for its 20th comeback win of the season in its first game of the 2026 Allstate ACC Softball Championship on Wednesday at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Cardinals (44-11) will take on No. 4 seeded Stanford on Thursday, May 7, at 1:30 p.m. ET on ACC Network in the quarterfinals.
The Cardinals’ offense was led by Camryn Lookadoo (2-for-2), who drove in two runs, and Madison Pickens (2-for-4), who had three runs batted in and the walk-off double to score Lookadoo to win the game. This is the first conference tournament win by Louisville since 2018.
