GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Syracuse’s Justyn Knight, Florida State’s Shauna Helps and Armani Wallace, and Virginia Tech’s Rachel Pocratsky and Lisa Gunnarsson have been recognized as Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Track and Field Performers of the Week.

ACC Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Justyn Knight, Syracuse
Knight broke his own school record with a time of 3:55.82 in the mile, becoming the first Syracuse runner to post a sub-3:56 time in the event at the John Thomas Invitational. Knight placed second behind 2016 Olympian Shadrack Kipchirchir, and tops among collegiate competitors. Knight’s performance – which currently ranks No. 2 nationally – was his season debut and was within 0.4 seconds of cracking the top-10 collegiate times ever in the event.
ACC Women’s Track Co-Performer of the Week
Shauna Helps, Florida State
Competing in an Arkansas Razorback Invitational Field that included seven women’s teams ranked among the nation’s top 10, Helps posted the nation’s No. 7 time in the 200 meters (23.20) and the No. 21 time in the 60-meter dash (7.33). The Belvedere, Jamaica, native’s time in 23.20 set a new Florida State school record and leads the ACC. Helps’ 60-meter time was a personal best and netted slot in the finals of the event.
ACC Women’s Co-Track Performer of the Week
Rachel Pocratsky, Virginia Tech
Pocratsky turned in the sixth-fastest time in NCAA history on Saturday at the Liberty Kickoff, as well as re-setting her own school record in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:41.98. The time by the Gaithersburg, Maryland, native currently sits No. 1 in the country and the ACC.
ACC Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Armani Wallace, Florida State
Competing in a Razorback Invitational men’s triple jump field that featured the nation’s top three teams and six ranked among the top 25, Wallace exceeded his previous personal-best on three of his four legal marks, highlighted by his massive 16.19 meter (53-1.5) leap that ranks fourth nationally and leads the ACC by 16.5 inches. The Orlando, Florida native exceeded his previous indoor personal best by two feet.
ACC Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Lisa Gunnarsson, Virginia Tech
In just her third collegiate meet, Gunnarsson set a school record in the pole vault with a mark of 4.46 meters (14 feet, 7.5 inches) at the Bob Pollack Invitational. The effort by the freshman from Stockholm, Sweden also reset the facility record at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex. Last weekend’s effort is currently No. 3 in the nation and first in the ACC.
