GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Four Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball programs are ranked in the final Associated Press Top 25, which was released Wednesday by the AP. Each of the four is ranked among the top 20, as the ACC tied for the most teams of any conference in the final top 20.
After winning the ACC Championship and going 26-5 (16-4 ACC), Florida State leads all ACC programs with a No. 4 national ranking, its best-ever final national ranking and second straight top-10 final ranking. Duke (25-6, 15-5) finished No. 11, while Louisville (24-7, 15-5) stands No. 14 and Virginia (23-7, 15-5) No. 16.
This marks the seventh straight season in which the ACC has had at least four teams in the top 25 of the final AP poll.
The AP Men’s All-America Team will be announced Friday, while the men’s player and coach of the year awards will be unveiled Tuesday.
