Greensboro, N.C. – Nine Atlantic Coast Conference football players, representing seven different schools, have been named to the 2020 Preseason Walter Camp Football Foundation All-America Team.

ACC players on the preseason team include:

First-Team All-America
Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson
Travis Etienne, RB, Clemson
Gregory Rousseau, DL, Miami
Marvin Wilson, DL, Florida State
Jaylen Twyman, DL, Pitt

Second-Team All-America
Chris Rumph II, DL, Duke
Carlos Basham, DL, Wake Forest

Clemson running back Travis Etienne and Pitt defensive lineman Jaylen Twyman are two of 13 players who earned Walter Camp All-American recognition in 2019.

The ACC claimed six of the eight defensive line spots on the All-America team led by first-team picks Twyman, Miami defensive end Gregory Rousseau and Florida State defensive tackle Marvin Wilson.  Rousseau, the 2019 ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year, led the league and was second nationally last season with 15.5 sacks.

Duke's Chris Rumph II, Wake Forest's Carlos Basham and incoming Miami lineman Quincy Roche, a transfer from Temple, landed on the second-team.

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is a first-team selection after leading the Tigers to back-to-back appearances in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.  Last year, Lawrence threw for 3,665 yards and 36 touchdowns.

NC State punter Trenton Gill, who led the ACC with a 47.6 average, was selected to the second-team.

The Walter Camp Football Foundation, an all-volunteer organization and caretaker of the nation’s oldest college football All-America team, first selected an All-America team in 1889. The 2020 preseason Walter Camp All-America Team is presented by Marcum LLP, a national accounting and advisory services firm with offices in major business markets across the United States.
