ACC Volleyball Notebook
- ACC Volleyball begins Sept. 17 when Virginia Tech hosts The Citadel for one of two non-conference matches this week. Virginia will also host The Citadel this week, with the Cavaliers set to play on Friday.
- League play kicks off on Sept. 23 with NC State traveling to Duke, and will feature four weeks with each team playing eight matches. The 15 league teams have been split into three pods, each with five teams:
Boston College, Syracuse, Louisville, Notre Dame and Pitt
Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia and Virginia Tech
Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami and Wake Forest
- Pitt has been picked to win the 2020 ACC Volleyball championship in the ACC Coaches Preseason Poll, with 11 first-place votes. Louisville was selected second and Georgia Tech was slated third, each with two first-place votes.
- Sixteen of the 18 members of the 2020 Preseason All-ACC Volleyball Team received 2019 All-ACC honors, highlighted by Pitt’s reigning Player of the Year Kayla Lund, Florida State’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year Taryn Knuth and Georgia Tech’s Reigning Setter of the Year Matti McKissock and Freshman of the Year Julia Bergmann.
