GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - NC State sophomore forward Jameese Joseph has been named ACC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Notre Dame sophomore defender Eva Gaetino has been tabbed ACC Defensive Player of the Week.

Joseph helped lead NC State to a pair of road wins last week, including a 2-1 double overtime win at No. 4 Duke last Thursday and a 2-1 win at Louisville on Sunday. She scored the golden goal with 19 seconds remaining to lift NC State to its first win over the Blue Devils since 2000. It was also the Wolfpack’s first top-five win since 2002. Joseph also scored the first goal in Sunday’s 2-1 victory at Louisville.

Gaetino’s play on the Notre Dame backline led the Fighting Irish to a perfect 2-0 week with a 3-0 win at Louisville on Thursday and a 2-1 double overtime win against Clemson on Sunday. She directed an Irish defense that yielded just one shot on goal against the Cardinals and just four total shots. On Sunday, Gaetino scored the golden goal off a free kick thanks to a stellar diving effort to help Notre Dame remain unbeaten in conference action at 6-0.

Conference play resumes Friday with three matches on the slate, including top-ranked Florida State visiting No. 17 Virginia Tech at 7 p.m.
