GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - Clemson junior forward/midfielder Caroline Conti has been named the final 2021 ACC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Notre Dame sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Naylor has been tabbed ACC Defensive Player of the Week.

Conti recorded a brace and an assist to lead the Tigers past Boston College, 4-1, last Thursday to secure Clemson a spot in the ACC Championship. Her five points in the contest were a single-game career high. Conti scored her first goal just four minutes into the match and added a second tally in the 13th minute to put Clemson ahead 2-1, which proved to be the game-winning goal.

Naylor helped lead 22nd-ranked Notre Dame to a 2-1 victory against Wake Forest last Thursday to secure the No. 4 seed in the ACC Championship. She made a career-high 10 saves, highlighted by seven in the first half. Naylor directed a Fighting Irish defense that faced 22 shots and 10 corner kicks against the Demon Deacons but held them to just one goal.

The semifinals for the 2021 ACC Women’s Soccer Championship are set, as fifth-seeded Clemson will play top-seeded Virginia on Friday, Nov. 5, at 5:30 p.m. and sixth-seeded Wake Forest will battle second-seeded Florida State at 8 p.m. Both semifinal matchups will be held at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, and air live on ACC Network.

The Tigers defeated Notre Dame, 3-2, and Wake Forest edged Duke, 2-1, in the first round of the ACC Championship on Sunday.

Friday’s winners will square off on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. in the final on ESPNU.
