ACC Teams Ranked Top Five in AP top 25 Poll
- For the 12th consecutive week, the ACC has two teams ranked among the top six of the Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
- After having the nation's top two teams for two weeks, NC State is ranked No. 2 in the AP Poll, while Louisville is No. 6.
- Additionally, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech also garnered votes for the top 25.
- In the USA Today Poll released on Tuesday, NC State is ranked fourth and Louisville is one spot behind at No. 5. Georgia Tech is receiving votes.
 
ACC WBB in Net Rankings
- Nine ACC teams are among the top 55 in the most recent NET rankings - second most of any conference. Louisville leads the conference at No. 6, followed by No. 8 NC State, No. 25 Virginia Tech, No. 25 Georgia Tech, No. 34 North Carolina, No. 42 Syracuse, No. 49 Wake Forest, No. 50 Florida State and No. 51 Notre Dame.
- The NET rankings will be used to select teams for the NCAA Tournament and are updated each day throughout the season.
 
Tournament Time Approaching
- With the 2021 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament quickly approaching, the Louisville Cardinals would clinch their second consecutive outright regular-season title with a win on Sunday or an NC State loss.
- With a Louisville loss and an NC State win, the Wolfpack would earn its sixth regular-season title and the first for the program since 1990. The Pack won the 2020 ACC Tournament Championship.
- The regular-season crown and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament is decided by winning percentage in conference games.
- It would mark the fourth consecutive year that the Cardinals have earned at least a share of the regular-season title and the third time in the last four years that they have been the No. 1 seed.
- The 2021 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament will be held at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C., for the 21st time.
- The event will be held March 3-7 and the full bracket is available on page 6 of the release.

- Second-seeded NC State won the 2020 tournament to claim its first ACC Championship in 29 years, beating fourth-seeded Florida State, 71-66.
 
Battle of the Home Court
- NC State ended its home slate with a perfect 11-0 record inside Reynolds Coliseum. Dating back to last season, the Wolfpack has won its last 12 home games, which is tied for the second longest streak for a Power 5 team with Texas A&M (12) behind Maryland (22).
- Ironically, Syracuse is the only other team in the conference that is undefeated at home with a record of 8-0.
- NC State will battle for the opportunity to be the only team in the conference that finishes with a unblemished home record.
 
On Target from Three
- ACC teams have been stellar from 3-point land this season, as the league's teams have combined to make 1,746 3-point fields goals, which is the most of any conference.
- Four ACC teams rank among the top 42 nationally in
3-point field goal percentage - the most of any conference.
- NC State headlines the group at No. 16 with 38%, followed by Virginia Tech at No. 25 with a 37.2% clip.
- Louisville is No. 41 with a 35.7 mark, while Notre Dame is one spot shy of the Cardinals at No. 42 with 35.6%.
- Additionally, Virginia Tech is sixth in the nation as a team with 203 3-pointers made this season.
 
Hoover Tied for Wake Forest Wins Record
- Wake Forest head coach Jen Hoover owns 125 wins leading the Demon Deacons, which is tied for the most of any coach in the history of the program.
- With her next win, she would become the all-time leader in wins by a head coach at Wake Forest.
- She is currently tied with Mike Peterson, who led the program from 2005-12.
- Hoover would join Louisville's Jeff Walz and Syracuse's Quentin Hillsman as the only active head coaches to be the all-time wins leader at their respective school.
 
Top ACC Duos
- Virginia Tech's Aisha Sheppard and Elizabeth Kitley are the top scoring duo (38.8) in the ACC with the former averaging 19.7 points per game for second in the conference and the latter contributing 19.1, third most in the league.
- NC State's Elissa Cunane (15.5) and Jakia Brown-Turner (15.2) form the league's second highest duo at 30.7 points per game.
- In rebounding, the Syracuse duo of Emily Engstler (8.8) and Kamilla Cardoso (8.4) pace the conference at 17.2. NC State's Cunane (7.9) and Jones (7.5) are the league's second-highest pair at 15.4.
 
Inside ACC Action 
- To date, the ACC has played 157 of 193 scheduled women’s basketball games (81.3%).
- In the 100 conference games played to date, the home team has won 65 games and the road team has won 35.
- The average margin of victory in ACC games is 12.1 points.
- Fifty-eight of the 100 games have been decided by 10 or more points and 23 games have been decided by five points or fewer.
- Syracuse's 99-64 win against Miami is the largest margin of victory in a conference game (35) and the smallest margin is two points, which has happened six times this season.
- Duke announced on Dec. 25 that they will not compete for the remainder of the 2020-21 season due to health and safety concerns stemming from COVID-19.
- Virginia announced on Jan. 14 that they will not complete the remainder of the 2020-21 season due to health and safety concerns.
 
ACC in NCAA Rankings
- ACC teams and student-athletes lead the nation and rank among the nation's top 20 in numerous categories.
- As a team, the Wolfpack is second in the nation in defensive rebounds per game with 31.9. North Carolina ranks 12th with 30.2 defensive rebounds per game.
- Louisville and NC State are tied for 11th nationally in field-goal percentage at 47.4%.
- Syracuse ranks second nationally in blocks per game with 6.9, while the Orange and Louisville are eighth and 11th in total blocks with 125 and 120, respectively.
- The Hokies are sixth in the country in 3-point field goals with 203 this season.
- Louisville ranks 10th in scoring margin at 18.1 and NC State is 12th with 17.8. The Cardinals are 14th in scoring offense at 80.6 points per game, while the Wolfpack is 15th at 80.1.
- Individually, Syracuse's Tiana Mangakahia leads the country with 7.6 assists per game.
- Virginia Tech's Elizabeth Kitley is seventh nationally in double-doubles with 13 on the year and is 15th nationally in defensive rebounds per game with 8.4.
- Georgia Tech's Lorela Cubaj ranks 10th in the nation with 8.7 defensive rebounds per game.
- Syracuse freshman Kamilla Cardoso is third nationally in field-goal percentage at 60.9.
- Virginia Tech's Aisha Sheppard has hit 81 3-pointers to lead the nation this season, while Clemson's Kendall Spray has made 59 to rank 14th.
- Louisville's Dana Evans leads the country in free-throw percentage with a 94.4 clip.
