GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – More than 70 Atlantic Coast Conference student-athletes are set to compete in the men’s and women’s 2021 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas
The championships, hosted by the University of Arkansas, will be held March 11-13 at the Randal Tyson Track Center. The event will be closed to fans due to COVID-19 protocols, but live championship coverage will be streamed on ESPN3. Additional details on times of the live ESPN3 coverage will be forthcoming. A re-air of the championship will take place starting at 9 p.m. on Sunday (March 14) on ESPNU.

This year’s ACC representatives includes a trio of student-athletes who qualified for the Championships by holding or matching the nation’s top time or mark in their respective events (Florida State’s Trey Cunningham – 7.55 in men’s 60m hurdles, Florida State’s Isaac Grimes – 8.33m in men’s long jump, Virginia Tech’s Lindsey Butler – 2:01.96 in women’s 800 meters).
Cunningham has been named to each of this year’s Boweman Watch List, most recently the pre-NCAA indoor watch list released March 4.
Eight more ACC competitors are currently ranked among the nation’s top five, and several will be entered in multiple events as individuals and/or as a part of a relay team.
Grimes’ mark stands as the ACC record, as does the men’s 400 meters time of 45.24 meters set by Virgina Tech’s Jacory Patterson in mid-February.
