- Duke (12-11) advances to Wednesday’s 6:30 p.m. second-round game versus No. 7 seed Louisville (13-6). The Cardinals took both regular-season meetings versus the Blue Devils, winning 70-65 at home on Jan. 23 and outlasting the Blue Devils 80-73 in an overtime game in Durham on Feb. 27.
- Duke improved to a league-best 104-45 in the ACC Tournament with Tuesday’s win. Duke is seeking to add to its league-record 21 ACC tourney titles.
- Duke is now 40-18 in ACC Tournament games at Greensboro Coliseum, including a 29-10 mark under head coach Mike Krzyzewski.
- Krzyzewski is 66-23 all-time in the ACC Tournament as head coach of the Blue Devils, including wins in nine of Duke’s last 10 tournament games.
- Duke’s 35-point margin of victory was the second-largest ever in the first round of the ACC Tournament. As the No. 1 seed in 1999, Duke defeated ninth-seeded Virginia by 37 points (104-67).
- Duke's 15 3-pointers made were a season high and tied for the fourth-highest single-game total in tournament history.
- Tuesday’s win gave Duke a sweep versus Boston College (4-16) this season. The Blue Devils held off the Eagles for an 83-82 win on Jan. 6 at Cameron Indoor Stadium and lead the all-time series between the teams 25-3. Duke is 3-0 versus Boston College in the ACC Tournament.
- The No. 10 seed is now 4-1 all-time in ACC Tournament games versus the No. 15 seed.
- Duke freshman DJ Steward led all scorers with 17 points in Tuesday’s game, marking the 17th game this season in which he has scored in double figures. Steward entered the ACC Tournament ranked first in scoring among conference freshmen at 13.0 points per game.
- Another freshman, Mark Williams, added 13 points for the Blue Devils on 6-for-7 shooting from the field. Williams is shooting 77.8% (35-for-45) over Duke’s last five games.
- Boston College slipped to 10-16 all-time in the ACC Tournament, including 6-7 in first-round games.
