GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - ACC women's lacrosse moves into April play with a huge Saturday of conference play, featuring three matchups of top-10 teams. The day starts with a highly-anticipated battle between the nation's top two-ranked teams, No. 1 North Carolina and No. 2 Syracuse, at 11 a.m. on ACC Network.
No. 8 Duke plays at No. 4 Boston College, No. 5 Notre Dame travels to No. 7 Virginia and No. 17 Louisville heads to Virginia Tech. These games each start at noon and air on ACCNX.

Noting ACC Women's Lacrosse
• Seven ACC teams are ranked in the latest IWLCA poll, most of any league. UNC leads the IWLCA poll at No. 1 and is followed by Syracuse (2), Boston College (4), Notre Dame (5), Virginia (7), Duke (8) and Louisville (17).
• UNC and Syracuse square off Saturday in a 1 vs. 2 showdown. The Tar Heels and Orange are two of the 10 remaining unbeaten teams in Division I.
• ACC teams have dominated in non-conference action, going 31-3 and more than doubling up their opponents on the scoreboard, 539-244.
• BC junior attacker Jenn Medjid has earned ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors (tied school record for goals in a game with nine on Sunday against Louisville; 11 goals, one assist in two games vs. UofL).
• Notre Dame senior goalkeeper Bridget Deehan was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week (12 saves, eight in the second half, and career-high six ground balls in a 13-9 road win over No. 9 Duke).
• Five of the nation's top 25 scoring offenses hail from the ACC: UNC (4th, 16.9 gpg), BC (5th, 16.9 gpg), Syracuse (7th, 16.5), Notre Dame (14th, 15.4) and Virginia (25th, 14.2).
• UNC also leads the nation in scoring defense (5.4 gpg) and is the lone team nationally to currently rank in the top 10 nationally in scoring offense and scoring defense.
• UNC senior Katie Hoeg owns an ACC-record 193 career assists, including 31 this season (second nationally in 2021). She is sixth in the ACC annals in career points (311).
• UNC senior Jamie Ortega boasts 295 points (ninth in ACC history). Ortega has scored 226 career goals, fifth in ACC history (needs four goals to reach fourth). She ranks second nationally in goals this season (43).
• Notre Dame's Andie Aldave ranks second among active players in career draw controls with 320.
• UNC goalie Taylor Moreno leads the nation in save percentage (.615) and goals-against average (5.4).Syracuse's Asa Goldstock is fourth in save percentage (.545) and 15th in GAA (9.1).
• Duke's Maddie Jenner is third nationally in draw controls per game (9.6), while BC's Charlotte North ranks sixth (8.6).
• The ACC led all conferences with 22 student-athletes on the 2021 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, including at least one from each of the eight ACC programs. UNC led all schools nationally with five players on the list.
