GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Syracuse junior forward Jeorgio Kocevski was named Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Duke graduate goalkeeper Eliot Hamill notched ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
 
Kocevski scored the game-winning goal in No. 7 Syracuse’s 2-0 victory over No. 4 Wake Forest on Friday evening, propelling the Orange to first place in the ACC Atlantic Division standings. A native of Liverpool, New York, dominated the midfield play against the Demon Deacons as the Orange handed Wake Forest just its second loss of the season.
 
Hamill tallied two shutouts in Duke’s efforts last week, upping his season total for clean sheets to seven. He spearheaded a Duke defense that kept both Howard and No. 21 Virginia off the scoreboard last week, lowering his season goals against average to 0.45. The Scarsdale, N.Y. native has played all 990 available minutes for Duke, and out of all ACC goalkeepers that have appeared in 10 or more matches, he leads the league in the save percentage (.878), goals against average (.455), shutout percentage (.636) and saves per game (3.27).
 
There are six non-conference matches scheduled for Tuesday. Four league matches are slated for Friday, including a doubleheader on ACC Network with Notre Dame at No. 2 Duke at 6 p.m. and North Carolina at NC State at 8 p.m. Also on Friday, No. 25 Pitt travels to Virginia Tech at 5 p.m. and No. 7 Syracuse plays at No. 11 Louisville at 7 p.m. Two conference games are set for Saturday, with No. 21 Virginia at No. 23 Clemson at 5:30 p.m. and Boston College at No. 4 Wake Forest at 7 p.m.
