GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - The 2022 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships will be contested Tuesday through Saturday in Atlanta at Georgia Tech's McAuley Aquatic Pavilion. ACC Network Extra will have live coverage of the entire event.

Noting ACC Swimming & Diving
• Led by top-ranked Virginia, eight ACC women’s teams are ranked in the CSCAA poll, tied for the most of any conference. NC State (4), Louisville (7), North Carolina (21), Virginia Tech (22), Notre Dame (23), Florida State (24) and Duke (T25) also are ranked among the top 25.
• Six ACC men’s programs were ranked in the latest CSCAA poll: NC State (2), Virginia Tech (8), Louisville (10), Virginia (15), Florida State (21) and Georgia Tech (22).
• Virginia is aiming for its third straight women’s team ACC Championship; the Cavaliers have won 12 of the last 14 ACC crowns.
• Louisville is the reigning men’s ACC team champion after snapping NC State’s streak of six straight titles last year. In winning their first ACC team title, the Cardinals won by just two points over NCSU, the smallest margin of victory in ACC history.
• Virginia’s Kate Douglass holds the nation’s best times in the 50 free (21.27), 200 breaststroke (ACC-record 2:03.14) and 200 IM (1:52.21).
• Virginia’s Emma Weyant owns the country’s best time in the 1000 free (9:36.64), while UVA’s Alex Walsh holds the top time in the 400 IM (ACC-record 4:01.40).
• On the men’s side, NC State’s Noe Ponti owns the nation’s top time in the 200 butterfly (1:39.48). The Wolfpack’s Kacper Stokowski holds the top time in the 100 backstroke (44.79).
• The ACC’s 2021 champions in each of the diving events are back this year., North Carolina’s Anton Down-Jenkins returns to defend his crowns in the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions, as does Miami’s Zach Cooper in the platform.
• UNC’s Aranza Vazquez (3-meter, platform) and Miami’s Mia Vallee (1-meter) also return this season to defend their titles from the 2021 ACC Championships.
• McAuley Aquatic Center is hosting the ACC Championships for the sixth time and the first since 2017. The facility also will host the NCAA Championships in March, with the women’s event running from March 16-19 and the men’s from March 23-26.
