GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Louisville junior forward Aboubacar Camara was selected Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Virginia senior defender Andreas Ueland was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Camara scored a goal in both of the No. 25 Cardinals’ wins last week. The native of Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, scored the lone goal in a 1-0 victory last Monday at Florida Gulf Coast, which was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll. He then scored Louisville’s first goal in a 2-1 ACC victory over No. 8 Pitt, as UofL scored its second win over a top-10 team this season. Camara now has three goals on the season and 22 for his career, moving into a tie for eighth on Louisville’s all-time scoring list.
 
Ueland guided Virginia to a pair of clean sheets last week as the Cavaliers posted two victories. On Tuesday, he led a stout defensive effort that limited American to just one shot on goal in a 2-0 Virginia win. The native of Byrne, Norway, also played a key role Saturday as the Cavaliers scored a 1-0 road victory over No. 3 Syracuse, handing the Orange their first loss and shutout of the season. Ueland had a pivotal moment midway through the second half in a tie game, sliding into a perfectly timed tackle inside the penalty area to clear a potential one-on-one situation and keep the game scoreless.
 
Non-conference action resumes Tuesday, with four matches on the docket, including a top-25 match at Louisville, as the No. 25 Cardinals play host to No. 18 UNC Greensboro. Conference play reaches the halfway point this weekend. The featured match comes on Saturday night, as No. 7 Duke travels to No. 1 Wake Forest for a 7 p.m. clash on ACC Network Extra.
 
ACC Network broadcasts a doubleheader Friday night, with Boston College at Notre Dame at 6 p.m. and No. 10 Clemson at North Carolina at 8 p.m.
