CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson graduate forward Amari Robinson has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Notre Dame guard Hannah Hidalgo earned Rookie of the Week honors. It is the first career Player of the Week award for Robinson, while Hidalgo claimed her fourth Rookie of the Week award this season.

ACC women’s basketball weekly awards are voted on by the league’s Blue Ribbon Panel.

Robinson posted a career-high 35 points to lead all scorers in Saturday’s home setback to Georgia State. The Douglasville, Georgia, native finished 11-for-13 (84.6 percent) from the field including a perfect 3-for-3 mark from 3-point range. The 35 points ties for the second-most points scored by an ACC player this season and the most by a Clemson player since Delicia Washington tallied 40 points on February 13, 2022. Robinson also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and handed out three assists.

Hidalgo paced Notre Dame with 23 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals in the Fighting Irish’s 76-39 victory over Purdue. The Haddonfield, New Jersey, native recorded her second double-double of the season and first with points and rebounds. With her statline, the freshman is the first player in NCAA Division I since 2022 to record at least 20 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and seven steals in a game.

Tying for the most teams among all conferences in the latest Associated Press (AP) Top 25, the ACC placed six teams in the poll this week. NC State and Notre Dame remained at No. 3 and No. 14, respectively, while Virginia Tech climbed one spot to No. 15. Louisville is No. 19, Florida State is No. 21 and North Carolina is No. 24, while Miami and Syracuse are receiving votes.

A total of 18 games are on the schedule this week, headlined by top-25 matchup when No. 15 Louisville plays host to No. 23 Washington on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ACC Network.
