GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Virginia senior attack Xander Dickson was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Notre Dame senior goalie Liam Entenmann claimed Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Dickson scored a team-best 10 goals and added a pair of assists in a pair of Virginia road wins over No. 11 Johns Hopkins and Towson. In the victory over JHU on Tuesday, the Greenwich, Connecticut, native found the back of the net six times for his second consecutive six-goal match. On Saturday, he recorded another six-point effort with four goals and two assists in the victory over Towson.
Entenmann totaled 13 saves and allowed just three goals in a 16-3 victory over No. 9 Ohio State. The Point Lookout, New York, native held the Buckeyes to their lowest goal total in a match within the shot clock era, as the Fighting Irish held Ohio State to its lowest scoring output since 2015. The three goals allowed were tied for the fewest allowed in a Division I match last week.
