GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference will send 35 total competitors to the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships, which are set for March 16-19 at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
After awarding the ACC 33 automatic qualifiers late last month, the NCAA announced on Tuesday that North Carolina 125-pounder Jack Wagner and 197-pounder Max Shaw are among 47 at-large selections.
The at-large selections join the 283 student-athletes that qualified through their conference tournament finishes over the weekend. The at-large selections were made by the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee using the following selection criteria: head-to-head competition, quality wins, results against common opponents, winning percentage, ratings percentage index, coaches ranking and conference tournament finish.
