2023 ACC Women's Golf Championship

• The ACC Women’s Golf Championship begins Thursday, April 13 and concludes Sunday, April 16 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The format for this season includes three rounds of stroke play on Thursday (two rounds) and Friday (one round) before match play begins on Saturday. The top four teams following stroke play will advance to match play semifinals on Saturday with the finals contested on Sunday.
• The first round on Thursday begins at 8 a.m. with continuous play throughout the day for the second round. The third round on Friday begins at 9 a.m. Match play semifinals on Saturday and finals on Sunday begin at 9 a.m. Spectators are allowed at the 2023 ACC Women’s Golf Championship and this is not a ticketed event.

OFF THE TEE - ACC NOTES
• Three ACC teams are ranked in the most recent Golfstat Top 25 rankings (April 6). No. 2 Wake Forest leads the way and is followed by No. 11 Florida State and No. 22 Virginia. In the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings (April 8), Wake Forest is No. 1, Florida State is No. 11 and Virginia is No. 22.
• Wake Forest senior Rachel Kuehn is ranked No. 2 by Golfstat and is joined in the top 25 by Florida State duo Charlotte Heath (No. 8) and Lottie Woad (No. 9) in the top 10. The Wake Forest tandem of Lauren Walsh (No. 14) and Carol Lopez-Chacarra (No. 23) round out the ACC players in the top 25.
• Last year, Wake Forest won its seventh overall ACC women’s golf title and second unfer head coach Kim Lewellen. The top-seeded Demon Deacons defeated No. 2 Florida State 3-1-1 in the match play final to claim their first title since 2019. Rachel Kuehn, Lauren Walsh and Virunpat Olankitkuncha all posted victories to help seal the conference title.
• The ACC had 11 current or former players compete in the prestigious 2023 Augusta National Women’s Amateur Championship – Duke’s Phoebe Brinker, Anne Chen and Erica Shepherd, Florida State’s Charlotte Heath, Amelia Williamson and Lottie Woad, Virginia’s Jennifer Cleary and Amanda Sambach and Wake Forest’s Carolina Lopez-Chacarra, Rachel Kuehn and Emilia Migliaccio. Woad led the ACC group with a 13th-place finish.
2023 ACC Women’s Golf Championship Coverage
The semifinals and finals of the ACC Women’s Golf Championship match play will be televised live on ACC Network Extra. Ryan Burr (play-by-play) and Suzy Whaley (analyst) will provide the call. A championship recap show will air May 1 at 7 p.m. on ACCN.
