2023 ACC Championship Bracket
GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2023 ACC Women’s Lacrosse Championship Presented by Ally shifts to Charlotte, North, Carolina, on Wednesday with quarterfinal action. American Legion Memorial Stadium plays host to the final three rounds of the tournament.
Wednesday's action begins at 11 a.m. as top-seeded Boston College faces No. 9 Duke. No. 4 Virginia plays No. 5 Notre Dame at 1:30 p.m., No. 2 Syracuse takes on No. 7 Virginia Tech at 4 p.m. and No. 3 North Carolina plays No. 6 Clemson in the nightcap at 6:30 p.m.
The semifinals will be played on Friday beginning at 1 p.m. and the championship game will be contested at noon Sunday. ACC Network will air all seven games from Charlotte, beginning Wednesday.
North Carolina is aiming for its seventh consecutive ACC Championship. UNC's six straight titles is tied for the ACC women's lacrosse record with Maryland from 2009-14.
Six ACC women’s lacrosse teams are ranked in the latest IL Women/IWLCA poll, including four of the top seven. Syracuse is ranked No. 2 nationally and is followed by Boston College (4), North Carolina (6), Notre Dame (7), Virginia (11) and Clemson (17). The ACC has the most teams in the poll among all conferences.
ACC teams make up five of the top 12 and eight of the top 40 in the latest NCAA RPI with Syracuse (1), North Carolina (3), Boston College (4), Notre Dame (11), Virginia (12), Clemson (32), Duke (34) and Virginia Tech (40).
