2023-24 All-ACC Academic Team
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced its 2023-24 Men’s Basketball All-ACC Academic Team on Thursday.
The team is comprised of 69 student-athletes, with at least one from each of the ACC’s 15 programs, highlighted by a trio of 2024 All-ACC honorees: Kyle Filipowski of Duke, Norchad Omier of Miami and Sean Pedulla of Virginia Tech.
Filipowski was a First-Team All-ACC honoree and consensus Second-Team All-American, while Omier earned Second-Team All-ACC honors and prior to the ACC Tournament was tabbed the 2024 Skip Prosser Award winner as the league’s scholar-athlete of the year. Pedulla was a Third-Team All-ACC honoree.
Clemson’s Joseph Girard III and Virginia Tech’s Hunter Cattoor each earned All-ACC Academic Team honors for the fourth time. North Carolina’s Cormac Ryan and Pitt’s William Jeffress were named to the team for the third time.
Duke led all schools with eight honorees on the 2023-24 All-ACC Academic Team, while Florida State, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest each had seven selections.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
