CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference today announced its 2024-25 women’s basketball conference schedule, including game times and television designations. The regular season tips off on Monday, Nov. 4, with 15 of the ACC’s 18 teams in action.

The excitement for the 2024-25 season is palpable and we look forward to building upon our achievements in both men’s and women’s basketball,” said ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips, Ph.D. “The schedules are loaded with tremendous matchups including historic rivals and the integration of our new members in Cal, SMU and Stanford. As we gear up for a tremendous year of competition, we applaud our partners at ESPN, ACC Network and The CW for making every game accessible to our passionate fans.”
The ACC’s regular-season conference slate features 162 total games, beginning Sunday, December 8 and finishing Sunday, March 2. New for this season, the 18-game conference schedule for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons feature:
- Each school has an assigned travel partner that will feature a home-and-away series.
- The home and away matchups will flip annually.
- Current ACC membership travels to Pacific Time Zone once every two seasons.
As announced in February, the top 15 teams in the final league standings will play in the 2025 Ally ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament, played March 5-9 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. ACC Network will continue to be the exclusive broadcast home for the first four days of the tournament. The championship game will air on ESPN.
Conference play tips off on Sunday, December 8 with four matchups beginning at noon ET and continues Friday, December 13, when California and Stanford square off in their first ACC matchup. The rest of the league will open conference play on Sunday, December 15, with four more games including the Jimmy V Classic with NC State visiting Louisville on ABC at 1 p.m. ET.
The season’s slate also features the second edition of the SEC/ACC Challenge, as all 16 games will air on ESPN’s networks and be available to stream via the ESPN app to authenticated subscribers. Last season, the conference split the Challenge with seven wins apiece.
Six ACC women’s teams enter the 2024-25 season ranked in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Women’s Basketball Top 25, including 2023-24 ACC Tournament champion Notre Dame (No. 4), Final Four participant NC State (No. 8), Duke (No. 11), Louisville (No. 12), North Carolina (No. 17) and Florida State (No. 18).
With expansion, ACC member institutions have won six NCAA Championships, and 11 different ACC institutions have combined for 44 appearances in the Final Four. Since 2014, the ACC has posted 130 victories in the NCAA Tournament, the most among all conferences. In that same span, the ACC has set 10 teams to the Final Four, 19 teams to the Elite Eight and 3 teams to the Sweet 16, the most among all league in all categories.
