Virginia overcame a 14-point deficit to pull off a 70-67 New Year’s Eve victory over NC State on Tuesday in Charlottesville, Virginia. Elijah Saunders led all scorers with 22 points for the Cavaliers.

Wake Forest scored its first-ever win at Syracuse on Tuesday, downing the Orange, 81-71. Hunter Sallis led the Demon Deacons with a game-high 23 points while playing all 40 minutes. Tre'Von Spillers added his fourth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
