(theACC.com) – SMU sophomore forward Stephan Soghomonian earned Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week accolades, while Clemson freshman midfielder Kwaku Agyabeng claimed ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors for matches played from October 13-19, as announced Tuesday.
Stephan Soghomonian, So., F, SMU (Santa Clarita, Calif.)
• Scored all five of SMU’s goals in wins over Central Arkansas and Boston College last week.
• In the 2-0 win over Central Arkansas on Tuesday, October 14, he recorded a brace.
• Recorded his second hat trick of the season in the Mustangs’ 3-2 ACC win over Boston College on Saturday, October 18.
• Named ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks.
Kwaku Agyabeng, Fr., M, Clemson (Kumasi, Ghana)
• Key factor in defensive effort as Clemson recorded a 3-0 shutout over No. 10 Duke, handing the Blue Devils their first loss of the season.
• Tigers limited Duke to just two shots on goal in the match.
• Also scored his first career goal.

• In the NCAA’s Tuesday RPI report, nine teams rank among the top 40, led by No. 6 Virginia, No. 7 Stanford and No. 9 NC State in the top 10.
• ACC teams have combined for a 68-16-20 record in non-conference play (.750 win percentage, best of any league).
• Four ACC teams were on the NCAA DI Men's Soccer Committee's Top 16 list (through games of Oct. 14): No. 2 Stanford, No. 3 Virginia, No. 10 NC State and No. 14 North Carolina.
• Four ACC teams rank among the top 15 nationally in scoring: No. 5 Duke and NC State (2.54/game), No. 10 Stanford (2.38) and No. 14 Clemson (2.33).
