(theACC.com) - SMU’s Malaya Jones was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, while Louisville’s Hannah Sherman was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week. Louisville’s Nayelis Cabello garnered ACC Setter of the Week honors, while Cardinals’ teammate Kalyssa Blackshear was named ACC Freshman of the Week for matches played October 20-26.
ACC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Malaya Jones, Gr., Opposite Hitter, SMU (El Dorado Hills, California)
- Totaled 32 kills, an average of 5.33 kills per set, finishing with just two errors across two matches.
- Hit .625 on the weekend, including a program record for hitting percentage on 20+ attempts in a single match with a .750 hitting percentage on Sunday.
