CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Stanford senior forward Jasmine Aikey has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Pitt redshirt-junior goalkeeper Abby Reisz was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week for matches played on the final day of the regular season.
OFFENSIVE – Jasmine Aikey, Sr., F, Stanford (Palo Alto, California)
- Registered two goals and two assists in an 8-2 victory over in-state rival California on Thursday.
- The six-point effort is the most points by a Stanford player in a match this season and the most since the Cardinal joined the ACC prior to the 2024 season.
- Recorded her sixth career match with at least one goal and one assist.
- The brace was her third of the season and sixth multi-goal match of her collegiate career.
DEFENSIVE – Abby Reisz, R-Jr., GK, Pitt (Upper Arlington, Ohio)
- Made six saves and shut out No. 1 Notre Dame, giving Pitt its first-ever win over a top-ranked team on Thursday.
- The clean sheet marked the first time the Fighting Irish have been held without a goal this season.
- Grabbed four saves in the second half, including three in the final 15 minutes to preserve the shutout.
- The six saves were the most since tallying nine against Stanford on September 14.
Women’s Soccer Notes
- The bracket for the 2025 Ally ACC Women’s Soccer Championship was released on Thursday, with top-seeded Stanford and second-seeded Notre Dame earning first-round byes. The postseason begins Sunday, November 2, with first-round matchups on campus sites before heading to First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park for the semifinals on Thursday, November 6, and the final on Sunday, November 9.
- A nation-best eight ACC teams are ranked in the top 25 of the latest RPI, led by the top three teams: No. 1 Virginia, No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 3 Stanford.
- ACC teams closed the non-conference portion of the regular season with 81 victories, tied for the most among all conferences.
- ACC teams own a 15-9-7 (.597) record against peer Power Four conference opponents this season.
