The matchup is the first of nine games in a loaded Week 13, featuring six conference showdowns. The Seminoles lead the overall series 26-16; however, the Wolfpack have won each of the last three meetings. Both teams enter the contest at 5-5 overall and are looking to become bowl eligible. FSU enters the final ACC contest riding the momentum of a dominant 34-14 win over Virginia Tech last Saturday in its final home game of 2025. The Seminoles’ offense has topped 400 yards in eight games this season, including 431 yards against the Hokies and explosive totals versus key opponents. Led by Tommy Castellanos—who averages a nation-leading 15.76 yards per completion—and the ACC’s elite receiving duo Duce Robinson and Micahi Danzy, the Seminoles rank among the national leaders in big-play passing and rushing. FSU’s offense leads the ACC and ranks in the top 10 nationally in yards per completion (15.56, 4th), 3rd-down percentage (.519, 7th) and rushing offense (227.7, 9th). On third and fourth-down conversions, FSU's conversion efficiency rate of 62.2 percent is first in the ACC and fifth in all of FBS. With five wins heading into the matchup, NC State needs one more win to become bowl eligible.
