NC State's Broadfoot and Osuigwe win 2025 NCAA Women's Doubles Title

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) - NC State duo of Gabriella Broadfoot and Victoria Osuigwe won the 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Doubles Championship on Sunday, November 23, at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

Broadfoot and Osuigwe defeated Vanderbilt’s team of Sophia Webster and Celia-Belle Mohr 7-6, 6-2 in the championship match to win the second NCAA Doubles title in NC State women’s tennis program history.

The Wolfpack doubles team added to the success of the ACC at the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships, becoming the fifth ACC doubles team to win the championship in the last six years – Makenna Jones and Elizabeth Scotty of North Carolina (2021), Jaeda Daniel and Nell Miller of NC State (2022), Fiona Crawley and Carson Tanguilig of North Carolina (2023) and Elaine Chervinsky and Melodie Collard of Virginia (2024).

Victoria Osuigwe & Gabriella Broadfoot, NC State – Road to the Championship Title

  • Defeated Daria Smetannikov and Mia Kupres (Texas A&M) 6-2, 6-2 in the Round of 32
  • Beat Melodie Collard and Vivian Yang (Virginia) 6-4, 6-4 in the Round of 16
  • Upset No. 3 seeds Ange Oby Kajuru and Susanna Maltby (North Carolina) 5-7, 6-1, 12-10 in the Quarterfinals
  • Defeated Lily Fairclough and Daniela Borruel (USC) 6-4, 6-7 (3), 10-3 in the Semifinals
  • Beat No. 4 seed Sophia Webster and Celia-Belle Mohr (Vanderbilt) 7-5, 6-4 in the Finals

ACC All-Americans
ACC women’s tennis players earned four ITA All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA Doubles Championships. The complete list of All-Americans will be announced at the end of the 2025–26 season once all criteria are met.

The criteria for earning ITA All-America Doubles honors include:

  • ITA All-American Doubles Champion
  • Advancing to the Quarterfinals at the NCAA Doubles Championships (November)
  • Finishing in the Top 10 of the Final ITA Doubles Rankings (May)
