2025 NCAA Championship Bracket
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – NC State moved on to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Division I NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship with a 2-0 victory over UNC Greensboro on Sunday, November 30. The Wolfpack earned their first berth in the Elite Eight in 33 years.
Seeded No. 15 in the field, NC State will travel to Washington, D.C., to play No. 7 seed Georgetown on Friday, December 5, for a 6 p.m. match, with the winner moving on to the NCAA Men’s College Cup. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
Taig Healy staked the Wolfpack to an early lead Sunday with a goal in the sixth minute, and Donavan Phillip padded the lead with an insurance goal in the 79th minute, while NC State’s stout defense recorded its 15th clean sheet of the season.
Duke and Stanford bowed out of the tournament Sunday. The Blue Devils fell, 2-0, at No. 14 seed Akron, while No. 12 seed Stanford lost, 1-0, to Washington following a goal in the final minutes.
The NCAA Quarterfinals will be played December 5 and 6.
ESPNU will provide live coverage of all three games of the NCAA Men's College Cup with the semifinals and final on December 12 and 15 at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina, as the event returns to Cary for the 10th time.
An ACC team has won the men’s national soccer championship 20 times – most of any conference – including three of the last four seasons with Clemson in 2021 and 2023 and Syracuse in 2022. At least one ACC squad has reached the College Cup in 22 of the last 24 seasons, with 11 different league programs reaching the sport’s highest stage.
