CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) -- In conference games played on Saturday, February 8, Clemson, Louisville, North Carolina, Stanford, Syracuse, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest notched victories. Of the eight games, five were determined by single digits, including four that were decided by one possession or overtime.

Virginia Tech 65, Notre Dame 63Box Score
Tobi Lawal had 15 points with 10 rebounds, Brandon Rechsteiner made seven free throws in the final minute and Virginia Tech rallied to defeat Notre Dame 65-63 in South Bend, Indiana. A dunk on an offensive rebound by Lawal gave Virginia Tech a 55-54 lead with 3:06 remaining. It was the Hokies' first lead since Lawal's dunk for a 2-0 lead. Marcus Burton scored 23 points for Notre Dame and Tae Davis had 18.



Louisville 88, Miami 78Box Score
Terrence Edwards Jr. had a huge day with with 27 points, five rebounds, and a season-high 10 assists to lead Louisville to the 88-78 win over Miami in Louisville, Kentucky. Reyne Smith added 26 points, including six 3-pointers for the Cardinals, who played with seven scholarship players for most of the game with starting point guard Chucky Hepburn missing the game and James Smith injured early in the contest. A.J. Staton-McCray paced Miami with 22 points.



Syracuse 95, Boston College 86 (3OT)Box Score
J.J. Starling led five Syracuse players in double figures with 28 points as Syracuse outlasted Boston College, 95-86, in triple overtime in Syracuse, New York. Boston College erased an 11-point second-half deficit and sent the game to overtime after beating the buzzer on a 3-pointer in the closing seconds of regulation. However, Syracuse answered with a comeback of its own in double overtime, recovering from a seven-point deficit to force another a third period. The Orange then outscored the Eagles, 10-1, in the third overtime. Donald Hand Jr. scored 28 points to lead the Eagles.



North Carolina 67, Pitt 66Box Score
RJ Davis hit a go-ahead stepback jumper with 52 seconds left to lift UNC to a 67-66 win over Pitt in a back-and-forth battle in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Davis scored a game-high 18 points, while Ven-Allen Lubin chipping in 17 points for UNC. Cameron Corhen tallied 17 points for Pitt, while Jaland Lowe added 15 points.



Wake Forest 76, California 66Box Score
Wake Forest's senior trio of Cameron Hildreth (23 points), Hunter Sallis (20 points) and Efton Reid III (career-high 19 points) led the Demon Deacons to a 76-66 win at California on Saturday in Berkeley, California, as the Demon Deacons completed the California sweep of Stanford and Cal. Wake shot 17-of-23 (73.9%) from the field in the second half as it scored its third straight win and ninth in the last 11 games. Freshman Jeremiah Wilkinson scored 21 points for the Golden Bears.



Virginia 75, Georgia Tech 61Box Score
Isaac McKneeley scored 20 points, Dai Dai Ames added 14 of his 18 in the second half and Virginia beat Georgia Tech, 75-61, in Charlottesville, Virginia. Andrew Rohde scored 11 points with nine assists for Virginia. Naithan George hit five 3-pointers and led the Yellow Jackets with 20 points. Duncan Powell added 18 points and Baye Ndongo scored 15.


 
Clemson 77, No. 2 Duke 71Box Score
Clemson used a 7-0 run over the final 38 seconds to down No. 2 Duke, 77-71, in Clemson, South Carolina. The win was Clemson’s highest ranked victory since February 18, 2001 (76-65 vs. No. 1 North Carolina). Viktor Lakhin had a big game with 22 points, four rebounds and three blocked shots for Clemson, while Chase Hunter finished with 14 points. Tyrese Proctor scored a game-high 23 points for Duke, which suffered its first ACC loss and had its 16-game win streak snapped.



Stanford 74, NC State 73Box Score
Ryan Agarwal scored the game-winning basket with eight seconds to go, as Stanford defeated NC State, 74-73, in Stanford, California. Maxime Raynaud led the Cardinal with 25 points and 12 rebounds, notching his nation-leading 20th double-double of the season. The 20 double-doubles tie the program’s single-season record, originally set by Adam Keefe in the 1991-92 campaign. Agarwal finished with nine points, seven rebounds and a career-high eight assists. Dontrez Styles scored 18 points for NC State.
