FEDERAL WAY, WASH (theACC.com) - In its first season as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, California was the runner-up at the 2025 NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington.
The Golden Bears were the lone ACC program to claim an individual national championship, taking home the 800-free relay title for the second consecutive year. The squad of Jack Alexy, Gabriel Jett, Destin Lasco and Lucas Henveaux swam a time of 5:59.75 to set a program, meet, NCAA and U.S. Open record, becoming the first collegiate team to ever swim under the six-minute mark in the event.
California finished the championship with a total of 471 points to claim the second-place title. Stanford (216 points), NC State (178 points) and Virginia Tech (107.5 points) also placed in the top 10.
The ACC accumulated 51 First-Team All-Americans and 56 Honorable-Mention All-Americans through 21 events.
