CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The final Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Players of the Week for the 2025 spring season were announced on Tuesday, April 15, with NC State and Stanford taking the honors. NC State’s Anna Zyryanova was named the Player of the Week, Stanford’s Valerie Glozman was tabbed the Freshman of the Week and joined her teammate Connie Ma in being named the Doubles Team of the Week for matches played April 7-13.
ACC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Anna Zyryanova, Jr., NC State, Moscow, Russia
The junior from Moscow, Russia, led the Wolfpack to back-to-back conference home wins over No. 18 California and No. 29 Stanford last weekend to finish the regular season with a perfect record at home and earn the No. 3 seed in this week’s ACC Women’s Tennis Championship.
Playing at the No. 1 singles spot, Zyryanova led No. 39 Mao Mushika of Cal 2-6, 6-4, 6-5 when the match was abandoned due to the Wolfpack’s 4-0 sweep of the Golden Bears on Friday, April 11. On Sunday, April 13, she handed No. 10 Ma of Stanford a 6-1, 6-3 straight-set loss on court one to lead the Wolfpack to a 4-3 win over the No. 29 Cardinal.
In doubles play, Zyryanova teamed up with Jasmine Conway to score a 6-1 win over Cal’s pair of Berta Passola Folch and Naomi Xu on Friday, followed by a 6-3 victory over Caroline Driscoll and Valencia Xu of Stanford on Sunday.
ACC Women’s Tennis Doubles Team of the Week

Connie Ma, Sr., Stanford, Dublin, California
Glozman and Ma picked up a pair of doubles victories last weekend, including their highest-ranked win of the season with a 6-3 triumph over the nation’s third-ranked pair of NC State’s Gabriella Broadfoot and Maddy Zampardo on Sunday.
On Friday, the duo registered a 6-4 win over Wake Forest’s team of Nevena Carton and Kady Tannenbaum to clinch the doubles point in the 4-0 win over the No. 34 Demon Deacons.
With the two wins, the pair improved to 21-7 overall on the season and 14-6 in dual matches.
ACC Women’s Tennis Freshman of the Week
Valerie Glozman, Fr., Stanford, Bellevue, Washington
Picking up her third Freshman of the Week honor of the season, Glozman went 4-0 last week for the Cardinal, posting two wins in singles play and two wins in doubles action alongside Ma.
In singles action on court two, Glozman posted a 6-2, 7-6 (4) win over Anna Zhang of Wake Forest in the Cardinal’s 4-0 win over No. 34 Wake Forest on Friday and then scored a 7-5, 6-2 victory over No. 89 Maddy Zampardo of NC State in a 4-3 loss to No. 12 NC State on Sunday.
In doubles play, Glozman and Ma recorded a top-3 win over No. 3 Broadfoot and Zampardo of NC State on court one for the duo’s highest-ranked win of the season.
