CARY, N.C. (theACC.com) – The championship match in the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Championship will be a rematch of last year, as No. 2-seed North Carolina will take on No. 4-seed Virginia for the ACC title at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday, April 20, at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina. The match will stream live on ACC Network Extra.
No. 8 nationally ranked North Carolina (22-4, 11-1 ACC) will be looking to repeat as the ACC Champion, having won the title last year over the Cavaliers. The Tar Heels will also be looking to win their seventh conference title since 2016 and 13th overall.
No. 7 nationally ranked Virginia (20-4, 10-2 ACC) is looking for its first ACC Championship under head coach Sara O’Leary and the program’s first since winning back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015. The Cavaliers will be looking to win their third ACC title overall.
Sunday’s championship match will mark the 21st appearance in the championship match for North Carolina, while Virginia will be making its seventh championship match appearance.
The Cavaliers reached the championship match for the second consecutive year with a 4-2 upset victory over the ACC regular season champions and the No. 1-seed Duke Blue Devils (21-3, 12-0 ACC) in the semifinals on Saturday, April 19.
The Tar Heels ran out to a 3-0 lead and held on for the 4-1 win over No. 3-seed NC State (17-6, 10-2 ACC) to reach the semifinals for the third consecutive season.
Tickets are priced at $15 for adults (ages 18 and older) and $10 for children ages 17 and under and non-ACC college students with a valid school ID. Admission is free for children 8 and under and ACC college students with a school ID. A full championship pass for all six days is priced at $30.
