BC, UNC, Virginia Earn 2025 ACC Women’s Lacrosse Season Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Boston College, North Carolina and Virginia each claimed honors as part of the 2025 ACC Women’s Lacrosse Season Awards, which were announced Wednesday, April 30, following a vote of the league’s 12 head coaches.
 
Boston College had three honorees: Rachel Clark (Attacker of the Year), Shea Baker (Defender of the Year) and Shea Dolce (Goalkeeper of the Year); Dolce earned the distinction for the second straight season. ACC champion North Carolina boasted a pair of honorees with Eliza Osburn (Freshman of the Year) and Jenny Levy (Coach of the Year), while Virginia’s Kate Galica was selected Midfielder of the Year.
 
Clark leads the nation in goals (91) and ranks second nationally in points (125) this season. Her 4.79 goals per game and 5.95 points per game averages top the conference and rank second nationally. Clark also boasts a league-best 10 game-winning goals this year. She was a First-Team All-ACC selection for the third straight season and earned All-ACC honors for the fourth time in her career. Clark is BC’s first Attacker of the Year honoree since Sam Apuzzo in 2018 and 2019.
 
Galica earned ACC season honors for the second straight season after notching Freshman of the Year honors in 2024. A First-Team All-ACC honoree, she has scored 40 goals and assisted on eight more this season. She has totaled a league-best 160 draw controls, setting a school single-season record, while also leading the conference in draw controls per game (9.41). Galica owns 16 ground balls as well as 16 caused turnovers.
 
Baker is a key leader on the nation’s No. 2 scoring defense. She has caused 35 turnovers this season, which ranks third among ACC players. A First-Team All-ACC honoree, Baker also has totaled 88 draw controls, which is sixth in the league. She has picked up 27 ground balls.
 
Dolce ranks first nationally in save percentage (.556) and second in goals-against average (7.49). A First-Team All-ACC pick for the second straight season, she also leads the ACC and ranks sixth nationally in saves with 170 this season, including a tournament-record 38 in three games at the ACC Championship last week, as she earned a nod on the All-Tournament Team.
 
Osburn is the first UNC player to earn Freshman of the Year honors – presented to the league’s top true freshman – since Jamie Ortega in 2018. The midfielder was a Second-Team All-ACC honoree and earned a spot on the ACC All-Tournament Team. In 18 games, including nine starts, she has racked up 18 points and nine assists for 27 points and totaled 44 draw controls.
 
Levy was voted ACC Coach of the Year for a league-record eighth time (1997, 2002, 2010, 2016, 2019, 2021, 2022). The 30th-year head coach led UNC to the 2025 ACC Championship and an unblemished 18-0 record this season. UNC is ranked No. 1 nationally in the NCAA RPI and in both the IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse polls. The Tar Heels boast the nation’s top defense and the No. 2-ranked scoring offense.
 
The 2025 All-ACC Team was announced on Tuesday, April 22.
 
The 29-team field for the NCAA Tournament will be announced on Sunday, May 4, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The championship gets underway with 13 games at host sites on Friday, May 9.
