CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Syracuse and Duke earned semifinal victories on Friday, May 2, in the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
No. 4 seed Syracuse ousted top-seeded Notre Dame, 14-12, and No. 3 seed Duke knocked off No. 2 seed North Carolina, 14-7. The Orange and Blue Devils play for the ACC title at noon ET on Sunday, May 4. ACC Network has the broadcast, beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET. Duke downed Syracuse, 11-7, on April 19 in Durham, North Carolina, in the teams’ regular-season matchup.

Syracuse 14, Notre Dame 12
Owen Hiltz scored five goals as the Orange (10-6) advanced to the championship game for the first time since 2016. ACC Goalie of the Year Jimmy McCool was tremendous, making 20 saves, including nine in the fourth quarter. Joey Spallina added four assists for Syracuse.
The Orange dominated at the faceoff X, winning 21 of 29 faceoffs, with John Mullen going 21-for-26 in a dominating effort. Mullen also added a goal.
Will Angrick and Devon McLane each scored two goals and assisted on a pair for Notre Dame (8-4), while Chris Kavanagh added two goals and an assist. Thomas Ricciardelli made 14 saves.
Duke 14, North Carolina 7
Tomas Delgado scored three first-half goals – one more than his season total entering the game – as Duke (12-4) rolled to the win, avenging an 8-7 home loss to the Tar Heels (10-4) on April 12. Eric Malever, Andrew McAdorey and Max Sloat each scored a pair of goals, while Patrick Jameison made 10 saves for the Blue Devils, who led 12-2 after three quarters.
Dominic Pietramala scored a pair of goals for the Tar Heels (10-4).
