2025 All-ACC Academic Team
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke senior midfielder Andrew McAdorey has been tabbed the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 2025 Men’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year and heads up the All-ACC Academic Men’s Lacrosse Team, announced Wednesday by the league office.
The Manorville, New York, native ranked second on the team in scoring with 22 goals and 22 assists for 44 points en route to earning consensus First-Team All-America honors and his second All-ACC Team recognition. A 2025 Tewaaraton nominee, McAdorey started every game the past four years, concluding his career ranked 25th in Duke history with 181 points (109 goals, 72 assists). After the season, he was the No. 2 selection in the Premier Lacrosse League Draft, going to the California Redwoods.
A four-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree, the political science major earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honors in 2024 and 2025. He also was awarded a 2025 ACC Postgraduate Scholarship as he pursues his Master of Management Studies degree from Duke's Fuqua School of Business next year.
The All-ACC Academic Team includes 16 student-athletes who earned mention on the Inside Lacrosse All-America Team this season, including nine on the first, second and third teams. Fourteen of the 19 members of the 2025 All-ACC Team also were named to the All-ACC Academic Team, including the ACC’s Co-Defensive Players of the Year, Aidan Maguire of Duke and Shawn Lyght of Notre Dame.
The 2025 All-ACC Academic Team features 109 student-athletes from each of the league’s five men’s lacrosse programs. Virginia led all schools with 27 honorees, while Duke had 26 selections.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
