UNC's Ashley Humphrey Leads 2025 All-ACC Academic Women’s Lacrosse Team

2025 All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) –
North Carolina graduate attacker Ashley Humphrey was named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s 2025 Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year and leads the 2025 All-ACC Academic Women’s Lacrosse Team, as announced Wednesday by the league office.
 
A native of Darien, Connecticut, Humphrey was a central figure in leading the Tar Heels to an undefeated season and the 2025 NCAA and ACC championships. A Tewaaraton Award finalist, she was a First-Team All-American and First-Team All-ACC honoree. She set the NCAA single-season assists record with 90 while finishing as the NCAA’s career leader in assists with 258. After doing her undergraduate work at Stanford and earning a bachelor’s degree in English, Humphrey came to UNC and enrolled in business classes in the Master of Applied Professional Studies program.
 
Ashley Humphrey is joined on the All-ACC Academic Team by her sister Chloe, who was the winner of the 2025 Tewaaraton Award as the nation’s top player. Each of the ACC’s five season award honorees was represented on the All-ACC Academic Team – Boston College’s Shea Baker (Defender of the Year), Rachel Clark (Attacker of the Year) and Shea Dolce (Goalkeeper of the Year), North Carolina’s Eliza Osburn (Freshman of the Year) and Virginia’s Kate Galica (Midfielder of the Year).
 
Forty-two members of the All-ACC Academic Team also were named to the 2025 All-ACC Team, including 11 first-teamers and all 16 members of the second team.
 
The 2025 All-ACC Academic Team features 229 student-athletes from each of the league’s 12 women’s lacrosse programs. Louisville led all schools with 23 honorees on the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team.
 
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
