Stanford’s Aikey Named 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy Winner

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (theACC.com) – After guiding Stanford to an ACC title and an appearance in the national championship match, senior midfielder Jasmine Aikey has been named the winner of the 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy, announced Friday, January 9, by the Missouri Athletic Club.

The MAC Hermann Trophy, the most coveted individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer, has been awarded annually since 1967. Aikey becomes the sixth different Cardinal player and seventh overall to earn the Hermann Trophy, as the Palo Alto, California, native brings home Stanford’s first Hermann Trophy since Catarina Macario won back-to-back awards in 2018-19. A student-athlete from the ACC has won the Hermann Trophy for six straight years, while the current ACC membership has claimed the trophy every year since 2017. Overall, ACC student-athletes have won 18 Hermann Trophies, while the current membership has won 28 total awards.

Aikey, who was also named the 2025 TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Year and landed on the United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team, led the ACC with 21 goals in 25 appearances this season. With the addition of her 11 assists, Aikey was the only player in the ACC with 50 or more points on the season, finishing with 53. The midfielder closed her collegiate career with six goals over the Cardinal’s six NCAA Tournament matches. On Thursday, January 8, Aikey signed her first professional contract with the NWSL’s Denver Summit FC.

All three Hermann Trophy semifinalists hailed from the ACC, as Aikey was joined in St. Louis by Florida State’s Jordynn Dudley and Notre Dame’s Izzy Engle. It marked the third time in four seasons that all three finalists for the Hermann Trophy were from the ACC. Of the 12 players named finalists for the Hermann Trophy in the last four years, 10 have been from the ACC. All three finalists are also finalists for the Class of 2026 Honda Sport Award for Soccer, which will be announced at a later date.
